Stonewall Sports - Greensboro is an LGBTQ+ & Ally, not-for-profit league. We welcome all players regardless of gender, sexual identity, race, ethnicity, etc. Whether you register to play or not, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our games, post-game festivities, special events, and fundraisers.

Registration Cost: $35 + processing fee per player.

Spring 2018 tentative schedule is as follows. This schedule is not final and subject to change.

Registration: February 19 - March 5th

Social/Player Mixer: Saturday, March 3rd - Chemistry Nightclub, Spring Fundraiser, 10PM+

T-Shirt Pickup/Captain's Meeting: Friday, March 9th (TBD)

Open Practice: Sunday, March 11th 1:30PM-3:30PM

Season: March 18th - June 10th

Registration information:

This season all players will register as free agents and rank themselves from 1 to 5. Teams will be randomly created from registrants to make teams as even as possible. The REMIX will facilitate meeting more people and fostering a more inclusive and welcoming environment. You have the option to be placed on a team with one other person, you must both name each other in your registration for this to happen. There is also a field to list someone you would not like to be placed on a team with (we hope most people will not do this).

What is REMIX?
This season we'll be mixing things up a bit. Instead of signing up with specific teams, each player will register as a free agent and be placed on a random team.

Why REMIX?
At Stonewall Greensboro we're all about fostering a welcoming, inclusive community where all feel safe to let loose and be themselves through fun, competitive sports. REMIX will allow players the opportunity to break out from their corners of the league,  take a break from established teams, and meet and make new friendships. Players new and old will find a welcoming, level playing field with everyone in the same boat.

How does REMIX work?
All players will register as free agents--You do have the option at registration to request placement with one individual (BFF, GF, BF, Partner, etc) who must also name you when they register. During the registration process, registrants will be asked to self-rank their skill levels. Using these rankings teams will be automatically generated to ensure a balance of skill level on each team.

But what about my current team?

Don't worry, kickball will return back to it's regular registration process for the fall season.

What are the skill levels for REMIX?

• 5 - Advanced skill and expert knowledge of the game and rules
• 4 - Experienced skill level with exceptional knowledge of the game and rules
• 3 - Intermediate skill level with a solid knowledge of the game and rules
• 2 - Basic skill level with a basic understanding of the game and rules
• 1 - Beginner skill level with little or no knowledge of the game and rules

How will captains be selected for REMIX?
When registering, all players will have the opportunity to indicate if they would like to captain a team. Following registration, League Management will choose a set of captains that best represents the broad involvement of our league, based on the following consideration:

• Stonewall Experience
• Stonewall Involvement
• Stonewall Sportsmanship
  

What if I HAVE to play with my Partner/BFF/GF/BF/Teammate!?
We at Stonewall want to create spaces that you feel safe in. If having a friend or loved one with you on your REMIX team will do that, we want to ensure that the two of you will be able to play with each other this season. When registering all players have the option to request placement with one other individual. You and that individual must BOTH request one another to be GUARANTEED to play together for REMIX.

What if I CANNOT play with my former Partner/BFF/GF/BF/Teammate!?
The ex factor.. we get it. For one reason ro another, there may be someone in REMIX that you absolutely, positively cannot play with for a whole season for whatever reason. We encourage you to go into the season with an open mind and heart, and to give people you may not have a fantastic pre-existing relationship with a chance. However, if there you that being on the same team with a particular person would put you in an unsafe situation, you will be able to enter their names during registration.
