Stonewall Greensboro Summer Sand Volleyball Information
Stonewall Greensboro is an LGBT & ALLY not-for-profit league. Whether you register or not, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our games, post-game festivities, special events, and fundraiser!
Registration Fee: $30 (Includes shirt/uniform - choice between t-shirt or tank top)
Registration Dates: April 28 - May 13
Open Practice: May 24th
Season: May 31 - July 26
Games: Wednesday Nights, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Location: Pinetop Sport Club (3723 Pinetop Rd, Greensboro)
Teams: Minimum of 5 players, Maximum of 7 players. Minimum 3 on court, maximum of 4 on court.
Rules: Will follow USAV Beach rules with some exceptions

Teams:
A team is formed when 5 players register and pay. Teams this season are capped at 7 players. Teams with less than 5 players should expect to receive free agents to reach a size of up to 7 players. Teams with 5 players registered will not be required to take on 2 additional players, but may be encouraged and asked by league management if there is a need. Please be aware more players on a team will result in less play time per player.
The first 16 groups that register 5 players will become the 2017 Summer Sand Volleyball Greensboro teams. Teams that have not met the required 5 players may reverted to free agents and will be assigned to the formed teams. We will do our best to keep groups together as requested.
Captains:
If you plan on being the captain of a team you will need to register first and then have players register under your team name. Should you need to change who is appointed as captain you will need to email greensboro@stonewallsports.org.
Players:
I plan to create a team.
If you plan to create a team you will need to register as a team captain (see above). Then you can tell your friends to register as a team player and join your team. To become one of the official new teams you must register 5 players.
I plan to join a team.
If you already know with which team you are going to play, you will need to register as a team player. Keep in mind that you can't randomly join any team; captains may ask that a player is removed from their team prior to the close of registration.
I want to play but I don't have a team.
That's fine! This league is about making new friends! Register as a Free Agent and you will be assigned to a team. ALL FREE AGENTS WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM AT THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION.
If you were unable to make it on the team of your choice due to capacity limits or you and a friend (or a few friends) would like to be placed together, please email us at greensboro@stonewallsports.org with the subject "RE: Volleyball Placement Request". We will do our best to honor those requests as space allows.
