Stonewall Greensboro Spring Grass Volleyball Information 

Stonewall Greensboro is an LGBTQUIA & ALLY non-profit league. Whether you register or not, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our games, post-game festivities, special events, and fundraisers!

Volleyball Director is Marianne Mason, they are in charge of all disputes during volleyball. 

Stonewall Greensboro will continue with our modified procedures to mitigate coronavirus risk as much as possible. Dr. PJ Miller will continue to act our our Medical Director and will be consulted regarding all things related to the virus. He can also assist in contact tracing and be reached at gso.medical@stonewallgreensboro.org. Sanitizer and wipes will be provided at each field/court. We recommend keeping additional space and minimize direct contact with others where possible. If you are sick or have had an exposure please do not attend until you have confirmed if you have the virus or until you have completed your quarantine period. Dr. Miller will offer recommendations if you reach out.

STANDARD REGISTRATION Aug 9th - Aug 29th $40.00 - includes shirt/uniform
Registration Dates: Aug 9th - Aug 29th
Season: Sept 15th - Nov 10th- (potential rain date of Nov 17th)
Games: Wednesday Nights, 6:30pm-9:00pm
Location: Pinetop Sports Club: 3723 Pinetop Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410
Teams: Minimum of 5 players, Maximum of 8 players. Minimum 3 on court, maximum of 4 on court.
Rules: Will follow USAV rules with some exceptions

Teams:

A team is formed when 5 players register and pay. Teams are capped at 8 players. Teams with less than 8 players (competitive teams 4 players) should expect to receive free agents to reach a size of up to 8 players. 



Captains:

If you plan on being the captain of a team you will need to register first and then have players register under your team name. Should you need to change who is appointed as captain you will need to email our volleyball co-directors at gso.volleyball@stonewallsports.org.

Players:

I plan to create a team.

If you plan to create a team you will need to register as a team captain (see above). Then you can tell your friends to register as a team player and join your team. To become one of the official new teams you must register 5 players.

I plan to join a team.

I want to play but I don't have a team.

That's fine! This league is about making new friends! Register as a Free Agent and you will be assigned to a team. ALL FREE AGENTS WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM AT THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION.

If you were unable to make it on the team of your choice due to capacity limits or you and a friend (or a few friends) would like to be placed together, please email the volleyball co-directors at gso.volleyball@stonewallsports.org with the subject "RE: Volleyball Placement Request". We will do our best to honor those requests as space allows.
