Stonewall Greensboro Bocce Information
Stonewall Greensboro is an LGBT & ALLY not-for-profit league.
Registration Fee:
STANDARD REGISTRATION (Sept 16th - Sept 30th) $20.00 - includes shirt/uniform and a mask
Registration Dates: Sept 16th - Sept 30th
Season: September 27th - October 25th
Games: Sundays at 2PM
Location: Old Peck: 1101 Fairbanks St. Greensboro, NC
Teams: Minimum of 5 players, Maximum of 8 players.
Rules: Will be sent out to all players prior to season start.
Teams:
A team is formed when 5 players register and pay. Teams this season are capped at 8 players. Teams with less than 5 players should expect to receive free agents if available. Teams with 6 players registered will not be required to take on 2 additional players, but may be encouraged and asked by league management if there is a need.
Captains:
If you plan on being the captain of a team you will need to register first and then have players register under your team name. Should you need to change who is appointed as captain you will need to email greensboro@stonewallsports.org
Players:
I plan to create a team.
If you plan to create a team you will need to register as a team captain (see above). Then you can tell your friends to register as a team player and join your team. To become one of the official new teams you must register 5 players.
I plan to join a team.
If you already know with which team you are going to play, you will need to register as a team player. Keep in mind that you can't randomly join any team; captains may ask that a player is removed from their team prior to the close of registration.
I want to play but I don't have a team.
That's fine! This league is about making new friends! Register as a Free Agent and you will be assigned to a team. ALL FREE AGENTS WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM AT THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION.
If you were unable to make it on the team of your choice due to capacity limits or you and a friend (or a few friends) would like to be placed together, please email greensboro@stonewallsports.org with the subject "RE: Bocce Placement Request". We will do our best to honor those requests as space allows.
